Why not? That's the way it works around this house.

Elam has the job of taking the rubbish/trash out in our house. The other day he took the liner/bag out of the bin/trash can and very nicely asked Silas if he would get the new liner and put it in. Silas gave it a go but was still working on the task by the time Elam had made it back in the house. Elam grabbed the liner off of Silas and said, 'C'mon Silas. You have to know how to get this in the bin if you want to be a man.' Without pausing Silas looked at Elam and said, 'No I don't...that job will be for my kids.' :)
