- My sister-in-law and I took my 12 year old niece and 6 of her friends to see Pirates of the Carribean.
- Elam's great-grandparents came down on Wednesday to celebrate E's 6th birthday -- we had a fun day of a movie, arcade, and dinner at Cici's pizza.
- We ran last minute Walmart errands on Thursday-- bought luggage tags, TSA luggage locks, ad stuff for E's birthday party.
- Friday morning we spent 3 hours at the doctor's office getting breathing treatments for Elam -- he had the start of a respiratory infection.
- We sold our car!!!
- Saturday morning, Ben took Silas to the dentist -- he had busted his lip and chipped a tooth on a marble coffee table.
- We also celebrated E's birthday and had a farewell get-together at our friends house with all of our Hometeam (small group from church) members and Grandma Alice.
- We spent the remainder of Saturday and Sunday getting packed up. It's sooo hard to move and not be able to just throw those remaining few things into a car. We have to get everything into a suitcase. Now we're praying that our suitcases will suck in when we put them on the scales. :) They are definitely maxed out!
- We shaved Ben's head this morning too. We figured that now would be the perfect transition time (since he is having a bit of a receding hairline issue and no one in England really knows him with hair). :) I actually won a round of rock, paper, scissors. It looks good though...we'll send pics when we can.
- We are heading to a hotel near the airport with Ben's parents tonight and they will get us to the airport in the morning.
We'll update you on our move when we get set up in England. We covet your prayers as we make this transition...at this point it is all a little overwhelming!!! I may have to take video of us when we arrive in Edinburgh with our 2 kids, 8 humongous suitcases, and 6 carry-ons! We're just hoping that it all fits into the minivan that we rented.
