The verdict

Our hearing to try to extend our eviction date was yesterday morning. The solicitor for the mortgage company opposed any delay. The judge told us we were naive for believing our property management company when they said it was all being sorted out 4 months ago. Since we had another property with a move in date, he ended up giving us three more days. So, we’ll be out by Thursday (23rd) since the eviction is now 9:45am, April 24. While we would have preferred a week, this will give us the necessary time to clean the new place and move at a somewhat reasonable pace.
We leave today for Ireland. Ben and I sat down and planned a few details last night. We loved the Free Walking Tour we took in Berlin, so we're going to try out the one in Dublin. Then we're off to kiss the Blarney Stone...and check out Muckross Farm near Killarney. We're just hoping to leave behind some of the chaos of the past 8 days and just have a fabulous time together.
