Birthday and Snow Day!

Silas turned 2 today!!! Hard to believe that the time has gone by so fast and yet it is so hard to remember not being a family of 4. Elam, Silas, and I had a relaxing day at home in our jammies as nearly all of the DFW Metroplex closed down due to ice. (We are going to be a frigid 12 degrees here tonight -- really unheard of in Dallas.) We painted some Christmas ornaments, watched a Rudolph movie, and had some dinner and playtime at McD's this evening.

We'll be celebrating more this weekend with some family...going to the Children's Museum and then back home for pizza, cake, and ice cream.

Here is a pic of the birthday boy this morning. He got a LeapFrog alphabet toy that sings the ABCs and tells the sound that each letter makes. We are already a little weary of the song. :) Silas can recognize F, Q, and W. He also knows S but calls it "Silas", M is "Mommy", and B is "boy". Fun stuff!!!
