Christmas Morning

Elam has been up every morning of winter break by 6.30a. When I woke up at 5.45, I thought I would go ahead and get some breakfast casserole made, turn on the tree lights and get the video camera ready to record. I did that, unloaded the dishwasher, started a load of laundry and the boys were still not up. Silas finally got up at 7.00 and we went to go wake up Ben and Elam.

They pulled all the stuff out of their stockings and then we read the true Christmas story from Luke 2 (Elam read the first few verses to us and only got stuck on a few words like Caesar Augustus and Quirinius). :) They had a great time opening their presents. Ben and I had a great time watching them...it's funny how their smiles are all the gifts that Ben and I need to have a great Christmas morning.

Silas so wants to be as big as his brother. He would watch Elam open up all his gifts and then try to claim them for his own while he ignored his own pile of presents.

We are going to visit Ben's brother, our sister-in-law, and neices for Christmas dinner this afternoon.

Merry Christmas!!!

Heather,

I got your Christmas card the other day. The boys look great, and I'm happy you sent your note so we I can get caught up with your family. It sounds like wonderful things are going on with the Blackwells these days. Kelly and I recently moved from Michigan to Cincinnati because I took a job with Coca-Cola there. Things are great with us, and we feel very blessed. No kids yet, but hey, we've only been married for over a year so we have plenty of time. How's your mom and Rob doing? Aren't they living on the west coast? Mom and Dad are doing well. Terry and Denise now have 4 kids. Baily is now 11. She stayed a couple of days with Kelly and I after Christmas. Cody is 9. Tori is 3, and Shelby (she's the newest) is only a couple of months old. Todd and Holly have Garrett and Evan, and they are doing great as well. Holly recently went through a breast cancer battle, but thank God she's ok now. Now you're caught up. Below is our new contact info. It was great to hear from you and God bless.
