Yesterday was World Book Day. The boys' school said that all the kids could celebrate by dressing up as a character from a book. So I sent Shaggy and Scooby Doo off to school yesterday with a couple of Scooby Doo books in hand. (Thanks Grandpa Norm and Grandma Alice!)
I was in need of a morning out, so I decided to head to a library in a nearby village (about a 25 min. walk) to get the next book for a book club that I've just joined. It turned out to be a very nice visit as they were serving tea, coffee, and homemade goodies in celebration of WBD.

What a great idea...What a couple of crazy characters! I love the Shaggy beard...and the exhausted Scooby (Silas's crash and burn photos always make me smile)!
