An investment in happiness

My Mother's Day flowers lasted for over 3 weeks! I actually only had to throw them out because I snipped off quite a few for the Easter service at church -- we filled the empty cross with loads of flowers again. So, I bought some new this week and figure I will at least once a month. I love fresh flowers in the house...they make me happy. I think £2-3/month is a bargain for happiness!

I had a florist tell me to put a penny or two in a vase of tulips. The copper will make the tulips stand up instead of flopping to the side. I agree that flowers are a great investment.

Small price for happiness -- I think there is a future Master Gardener blooming in the UK ;)

Agree with Auntie's comments. And a great tip from Sandra that I can't wait to try. Tulips are my fav.

I totally agree - flowers make you smile and hat's worth it all. You are sounding SO English - "proper" Easter slide show? AND Silas looks just like you!
