Phone number rhythm

Here in England there is no phone number rhythm...it drives me crazy. I mean, in the US it is always (972) xxx.xxxx. Here it could be (o191) xxx xxxx or 0191x xx xx xx or 0191x xxx xxx or (0191) xxxx xxx. Honestly, could there be any more choices?

So, when I saw this...it made me laugh hysterically.

I can't even count the number of times we've had that exact conversation...

I love it! The lack of "rythm" here drives me nuts.

I'm sooo glad to read this -- I thought I just wasn't bright enough to pick up on the British rhythm!

I'll be back in Durham in March -- I'll holler at you and we can get coffee! It was good to see Ben at the Richard hays lecture -- tell him hello!

Remember how crazy it made you when I grouped numbers to remember them (88-11-5-77)? Too funny!

Josh is right- this is one of my biggest pet peeves about this country! I just have so much trouble making sense when someone gives me their number or trying to copy it from an email to my phone... I need rythmn!!
