Pocket full of mystery

You know how it is as a mom. You have to check all the boys' trouser pockets to make sure you don't end up washing that random crayon or used tissue that ends up making a mess of an entire load of wash. It's not my favorite job...reaching into pockets and pulling out questionable items. Moms of boys know that rocks, acorns, sticks, and nasty 'found objects' are some of the most common finds. Well, Silas has moved on to a new subject. He loves to color...all the time. So, now I find tightly folded pieces of paper in his pockets...constantly. The papers to the left here are a sample from one pair of trousers. And just so you know, those are whole computer paper sized pieces of paper (cargo trousers can hold a lot!). :) And here are some of the masterpieces that I find when I open them up.

These are GREAT! I would have a hard time parting with them.

Seeing that I find about 10 a week, I have to pick and choose. :)

Well, it looks like you are cultivating social responsibility as well as creativity in the boys. You did not note why High School Musical was no longer in vogue with his peers.

Oh yes, regarding checking pockets before laundry... I need to do that with Alice also. She has a tendency to keep tissues in her pockets. We've also found the occasional baggie used for walks with Eli; my pocket knife; change; grocery receipts, etc. etc. :)

Hugs to all
Love Dad

How wonderful! Looks like the Lord has blessed him with some drawing talent - I don't think I could draw that well now.
