- The boys and I make a paper chain to countdown each night before Christmas starting on 1 Dec. We take off a link each night and the excitement rises the shorter the chain gets.(*I'll have to post our other advent happenings later.)
- We put together a Samaritan's Purse Christmas shoebox.
- We read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve after opening one present.
- I make an awesome breakfast casserole on Christmas Eve and pop it in the oven before we look in the stockings on Christmas morning.
- After we look through the stockings, we stop and read the Christmas story out of Luke 2. It's a good time to pause and reflect on the whole purpose of the day.
- One tradition that we started but haven't been able to do while we're in England is having Christmas dinner with my sis-in-law and fam. We miss that!

Christmas traditions?
A friend just posted her Christmas traditions on her blog and I thought it was a good time to reflect and see what we've established as our family Christmas traditions.

I like your traditions! They seem easy enough to do every year. I was thinking of making an Advent Calendar, but I haven't put much thought into it yet. I guess at this point, I'm planning way ahead since we won't be able to use it until 2008!
So, let's here about that breakfast casserole...can we get the ingredients here???
