It is really funny to see how much your kids turn out just like you. Elam is a very low-risk guy (just like his mom!). When we told the boys what our choices were for Day 2 (see
here), Elam was not convinced about hiking on paths with monkeys all over the place. He told me that he's heard that monkeys can be vicious. Honestly, it cracked me up. I told him that there is no way they would let loads of people walk through this all the time if they were worried that these monkeys would be vicious. He then told me that some monkeys are rather cheeky and he was afraid they might try to steal his baseball cap from him. You'll notice from the pictures below that he decided to risk it! :)
After our discussion we all voted to head to the
Monkey Forest on Day 2. We had a great time walking through the paths and spying all the
Barbary Macaques in their environment. The boys favorite bit was watching some of the baby monkeys jump on the branches, wrestle one another, fall to the ground, and do it all over again.
