My boys grow so fast that I'm always on the look-out for clothes that need to be 'retired' after they go through the wash. This week I noticed one pair of Elam's trousers needed to be put away and saved for Silas in a few years...and a few pairs of Silas' needed to go in the charity shop bag.
I decided it was time to pull the box down out of the wardrobe that houses Elam's old clothes that are being saved to pass down to the little bro. I told Silas I was doing it and he came in the bedroom and watched for a few minutes and even held up a few pairs so I could see the length. By the time I sorted through the box -- putting some of the bigger sizes to the bottom, etc. -- Silas was already sitting on the floor playing with Transformers. I sat down next to him and asked if he would try a pair on for me so that I could see if they fit. He said, 'No thanks!' I said, 'Don't you want to let me see them? Are you being Mr. Difficult?' He quickly replied, 'No, Elam is Mr. Difficult.' Then he added, 'I'm just...Mr. Busy!'
