File this one under 'Completely Annoying'

I was so excited to see the sun today. It has literally rained everyday for the past 3 weeks, I think. And despite England's reputation, this is really not normal (at least not here in the NE). We know this from experience now (we have been here nearly a year) and from what all the 'natives' tell us.

Anyway, back to the sun...my first intinct? Well, not running out to catch some rays (too afraid of skin cancer)...but putting some laundry up on the line. Remember, we've been here for nearly a year...it starts to run in your blood -- good weather means do laundry! So, I get a ginormous load out on the line and it is flapping in the breeze and drying beautifully. Until, you guessed it, out of nowhere this major torrential (Texas-type) rain dumps out of the sky all over my nearly dry clothes!!! I run out and start pulling them off the line and throwing them inside. They're getting drenched and I'm getting drenched. It was seriously annoying! And to top it off it lasted for 15 minutes, passed over, and the sun was shining again. Whatever!!!
