Tuesdays

Since I work Saturday-Monday, Tuesday tends to be the day that there is a lot to do. When we had people over every Sunday night during American football season, there was a bit of cleaning done on the weekend. Now, there simply isn't much. I'm much too tired after walking Tesco for 8 hours a day and pushing a massive trolley to worry about laundry, cooking, dishes, etc. And the boys (the 2 young ones and the 1 big one) are usually much too busy having play time with friends or each other to worry about anything like that either. (I guess that would imply that they would worry about it on any other day...hmmmm...not so sure that happens either). Anyway, Tuesday then becomes my day to get several things done and also take a few minutes to relax (I mean I have been working, right?!?)

Here is my to-do list from yesterday:
*wash 2 loads of laundry
*dry 2 loads of laundry (remember these 2 things with the washer/dryer thingy we have took from about 8am to 10pm)
*fold the few loads of laundry I actually put in over the weekend and draped all over the radiators and bannister
*make a run to Tesco for a few essentials: milk, cereal, sandwich meat, cheese, onions, and ingredients for chocolate chip pie
*tidy the lounge (that sounds so British!)
*clean the kitchen (it was disastrous since I cooked Chow Mein for dinner the night before and then promptly fell asleep on the couch after dinner)
*bake a chocolate chip pie (if you use this recipe, cut the butter down to 1/2 cup -- 1 stick)
*make fruit salad
*remember to defrost chicken for Wed. dinner
*vacuum downstairs
*read a few chapters in The Kite Runner
*watch an episode of 24 (Season 4)
*dinner and Spades with friends at their house (yahoo!)

whew....I'm worn out just reading it!

However dinner and games at a friends house sounds like fun!

Pace yourself...that's the key! :)
