Superbowl isn't the only S-word in this house

We had our Superbowl replay party on Monday again this year -- with 30+ in attendance! During the party E came down to tell me that Silas was saying a bad word over and over again. Apparently the combination of a 20 month old learning to say 'sit' and a giggly 12 year old gave the middle kids a language lesson. Yep, E now knows that the 's-word' is not, in fact, 'stupid'. We chatted about it the next morning. I know he didn't have any clue that it was a *bad word* since he felt quite free to use it when he was telling me how he learned it...no guilt there! I asked him if he had ever heard his dad or me saying it (with fingers crossed) and he hadn't. So, we just talked about how it's not a nice word...that it's inappropriate to say...and 'please don't talk about it with your brother!'

I'm just glad that we didn't have any die-hard Pats fans in the crowd that taught him the word! :)

So Elam thought "Stupid" was the s-word? Pretty good. Reminds me of friends who had their daughter convinced until she was 5 that bagels were donuts :)

That's kind of funny because when Xavier first came to the states he used the word in the dorm (in it's true sense)and got a shocked reaction!!
