E had a concert at school -- he played the recorder, sang with the choir, sang with his class, and played backup on drums while a friend played a solo recorder piece

We had to say goodbye to our dear friends, the Shafers. They moved back to the States the day after we left for Inverness. There were some tears at the train station...they will be truly missed by all of us.
Ben found this on one of our chairs. This is the chair that the boys fight over nearly every meal time, so we're not sure why Silas would choose to inscribe E's name on the chair!

The idea is that you think it's Elam who's done it.
You were obviously too nice a child.

I'm impressed if he actually thinks that way. I think he just enjoys his own art work. He likes to put it on everything...even himself. He usually just chooses to write his own name. :)
