Weekend stuff

Saturday night we had friends over for dinner -- I made BBQ pulled pork. This has become one of my favorites...mostly because it is just SO easy and tasted really good! They taught us how to play cribbage...we, Blackwells, are always up for learning a new game. Actually, Elam received the game and we couldn't figure out how to play from the directions that came with it or from any internet directions. When I found out that Dave and Mindy are cribbage players, I decided to seize the opportunity. :)

On Sunday afternoon I went to the semi-annual NCT sale. It's a big rummage sale of toys, baby/children's clothes, and baby equipment. This is my 4th time to go, and I'm happy to say that I didn't overdo it. My kiddos are growing up so fast that they've nearly outgrown all the stuff that's selling. I did come home with 3 sets of Top Trumps cards (essentially glorified war with different themes) -- Spiderman, Harry Potter, and outer space -- a Scooby Doo game, a knight costume for Silas, and a pair of shorts and t-shirt for Silas.

I'm going to try this bbq recipe. My last attempt wasn't very successful!
