Newcastle fun

We all fancied a day out of Durham over the holidays. I had Monday off work, so we headed to Newcastle for a day of fun -- ice skating, a science museum including a planetarium show about the Christmas star, and a movie.
Ugghh! Slide.com doesn't want to upload our ice skating pics...I'll have to go the old route.

Have you been to the Discovery Museum? It's right near the Life Centre, up towards the stadium a bit. I had to visit it for work to find some drawings in the local archives, which happen to be located there. I don't know all that's there, but it's FREE and there's a really cool-looking and BIG ship right when you walk in the door! Also... there were a ton of school groups, so pick the right day!
