No cookies or cupcakes

I appreciate the fact that the boys' school is considered a healthy school -- they ask that no crisps (potato chips), chocolate, or fizzy drinks be brought in lunches. But when it comes to special occasions I think they've gone a little overboard. They insist on maintaining their healthy school standard by asking that no special birthday treats be brought to school to share with the class. Their alternative is to bring in a special birthday card that your child can show to their classmates. Honestly, doesn't that sound just a little bit lame?!?! Well, I thought so...until this year. Silas couldn't have been more excited to take this brithday card to school to show to all his friends. Thanks, Regin, for an awesome birthday card! What a treat!

Wow! Who wouldn't want to share that?! It does make a cookie or cupcake seem a bit lame by comparison...looks like it was a very happy surprise...nice;)
