It's begun...we're breaking in Silas to the realities of walking in England. Up to this point, we've had a "buggy" (stroller) for him to sit in while the rest of us walk to wherever it is that we need to go. He has been "buggy-less" to Tesco (1 block away) or to the school (literally across the street) but that's about it. Until 2 weekends ago. We were invited to lunch after church that required a car ride to their house, so we thought we'd leave the buggy at home so they didn't have to deal with transporting 2 adults, 2 kiddos, and 1 buggy. We left an extra 15 mins. earlier and ambled to church. We made a big deal out of how big he is now that he's 3 and he took the praise well. :) This past Sunday we asked if he'd like another "go" at walking to church w/o his buggy and he didn't hesitate for a second to say yes. That required a walk there (about a mile) and the walk back...he did great again. So, today when we had a playdate at a friend's house, we took the 15 minute walk there w/o any talk of a buggy. No problem at all. He's definitely growing up...

Maybe Sy will now "slim up" as much as Ben has with all the walking he does ;)
Sylas, you are growing up into such a big boy. Papa loves to walk and does about 3 miles every day. I bet you he will want you to go walking with him when we come to visit. We are so proud of you! Mo and Papa
