Fabulous February Family Fun

If you are a mom (or dad, I won't be sexist here) of young kids, you have to read Family Fun magazine. It is full of great ideas, tips, crafts, recipes, vacation spots, etc. I have particularly enjoyed the February issue...so many great ideas.

  • Elam has a topic day at school once a term where the topic is assigned and then kids bring in whatever they want to talk about/learn regarding that particular topic. Topic day is this Friday and the theme is "Chinese New Year". I was happy to see this Chinese dragon project in the February issue. We worked on it this weekend and E took it to school today to "decorate" for their Chinese New Year celebration.

  • I decided to go with homemade Valentines again this year when I saw the great ideas in FF. I made this one for Elam and then found another on the FF website that I adapted a bit for Silas.
  • I have a taquito recipe marked and am planning to try it out later on this week.

Cute dragon & way cute cards! I'm impressed that you figured out that foldy one. Just reading about it made me confused! I have always enjoyed that magazine, though- but I've never had a subscription- just seen it in dr's offices.

I made the folding one, which is actually pretty easy, but I'm still confused on how it works. It's very cool!
