First Day of School '08

Last week Elam started Year 4 and Silas started Reception. Reception is like Kindergarten except that the children start the year that they will turn 5...they don't already have to be 5. I'm really glad for the system here because Silas is SO ready to be in 'proper school'. He loved his nursery class, but he's so ready to move on. I think it's the combination of having an older brother that loves school, being a social kid, and just being ready to be challenged academically. Here are a few pictures of the first day. He's been on a staggered schedule so he hasn't done a full day there yet...that comes this Friday.
