Mixed Palate
So, I'm walking into Durham's city centre to have coffee with a friend (a major bonus of having both kids in school), and I notice new-ish restaurant called Tia's. Underneath the name it says 'Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine'. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be like having a restaurant that serves Greek and Thai or one that serves Labanese and British pub food. In my mind that just doesn't jive. Tia's has officially been crossed off the list of restaurants that we where we want to eat.

I am concluding from your remarks that you have not ever heard or read about the Mediterranean Mexicans that flourished in Europe and England, oh say a week or two ago.
Nevertheless, we can identify. Alice and I stopped at a Mexican restaurant shortly after we moved here. It was some surprise to see that everyone that worked there was Chinese. I suppose that explains the eggroll taco and mushu enchiladas on the menu! Yikes!!!!
good idea! to keep it marked off your list that is . . .
