a few recent funny moments from my kiddos...
When we were on holiday I asked Silas to show-off to his grandparents (as all of us parents like to do) by having him skip count. He can count by twos and fives pretty easily. He went through the 2s up to 40 and then I asked if he wanted to do 5s to 100. He started, '5...10...' and then looks at all of us and says, 'I'd rather do 50s to 100...50...100!'

In anticipation for the start of school I decided I better clean out the boys' wardrobe and take out some clothes that no longer fit. I also remembered that I had some clothes put away for both Silas and Elam when they grew into them. I pulled out a pair of camo trousers and a pair of jeans for Elam that were size 9. He tried them on and they both fit...he was quite pleased to have some new clothes. So, the next morning he walks into my room in the camo trousers. I comment on how great they are and ask him if Daddy saw them before he left for school/work. He said, 'Yeah, I'm pretty sure he noticed them but he didn't ADMIRE them or anything.'

Last night I asked E if he would help me a bit as a was trying to get dinner on the table. I set out 2 small glasses for the boys and the 6 pint container of milk I had bought earlier at Tesco. I asked him if we would pour the 2 glasses of milk and get them on the table. He grabbed the milk and realized how full it was and said, 'Just pretend I'm God and the milk is oil...your cup runs over.' I decided to pour and just let him carry them to the table. :)

I hope you're keeping track of all these - sure sounds like a "memoirs from the UK" kinda book.
