To celebrate Valentine's Day this year, we decided to make an effort to show love to one another more than just on one day. On the first day of February, Elam cut out a bunch of hearts from construction paper. Whenever a member of the family showed love to one another, we wrote down the act on one of the hearts and posted it up on the front door (Elam's choice). Everyday we are reminded of the loving things we have done and it inspires us to show love in other ways throughout the day. A few of our posts:
- Elam let Silas borrow his Scooby Doo sheet at bedtime
- Silas signs "I love you" when Elam and Daddy leave each morning
- Mom made smoothies for us
- Dad helped Silas and Elam clean their room
