Dude looks like a lady

Ben went to Tesco a few weeks ago to pick up a cheap pair of tennis shoes to work in the garden and mow the lawn in. He found some reasonable soccer shoes. When he came home he said that they had rung up as ladies shoes on the receipt (even though they had clearly been in the men's section). So he has been watching other guys as we walk through town to see what all their shoes look like. Through this he noticed that no men wear flip flops here -- usually Ben's choice of footwear. When we were at tea the other day, Ben asked the guy if men ever wear flip flops. His response was no... they are seen as rather "feminine". We may be making a trip to the new shoe store around the corner quite soon. :)
