All of us here love games. No matter how many times E tries to convince us that he needs a new toy -- he often lays on the gound with the 1800 page Argos catalog now...drooling on all the toy pages -- we know that he will only play with it a couple of times before he loses interest. He loves games though and we have sorely missed all of the games we had in Dallas...we could only fit a few smaller card games in the backpacks we brought over.
1. Monopoly (London version) -- We borrowed this game from Prof. Barclay shortly after we arrived here. Monopoly was one of E's favorite games back in Dallas, so it has been fun comparing the boards. It definitely helped us switch from calling money "dollars" to "pounds".
2. Buckaroo -- Sy is now wanting to be part of things that we do together as a family rather than playing on his own. He really loves this one. Balance all the pieces on the horses saddle beofre he bucks it off. Lots of giggles (and sometimes deliberate bucking.) :)

3. 3-D Snakes and Ladders -- E bought this game from Tesco with some of his birthday money. It is a 3-D version of Chutes and Ladders. You move a marble around the board and it may land on different contraptions that may either make it advance or go back. The boys have both loved this one.

4. Typo -- Grammy heard about our dilemma of not enough games and miraculously several came over in her suitcase. :) This is a fun new one that we have just started playing. E loves it and it has been good for his spelling. Sy likes to use the cards as letter flashcards -- he can almost identify every one of them now!
