Catching up

After I posted the last entry, I realized that nearly a week had gone between that post and the previous one. Not sure what happened -- work, really tired, boys out of school, prep for my grandparents' arrival, really tired. Anyway, thought I should do a little bit of catching up.

Last week Ben got a bit wild and crazy. My frugal husband decided to buy a barbecue grill and a new camera all in one week!!! We've been talking about getting a new camera -- one with better megapixels, the ability to add different lenses, basically one that just takes better pictures while we are living in Europe! -- and we figured it was the perfect time to get it for his trip to Berlin. So most of the pics below are just goofing around with our new camera.

Last Friday, we had a goodbye dinner -- chicken fajitas (Yum!!!) -- for some of our Durham Uni. friends that are moving back to the States. We are really going to miss Casey, Sarah, and Cora. Other friends, Taylor and Anna, are due with their baby girl at the end of July and will be moving back shortly after that. Maybe we can have goodbye barbecue with them.

So, the barbecue...Ben has been talking about that ever since we moved here last August. He saw the backyard and decided it wouldn't be complete without one. So, we grilled hamburgers on 'Bank Holiday' Monday -- it seemed proper since it was Memorial Day in the States. Isn't it a rule that you're supposed to grill out then?!?!? :)
