I wish I could remember where I got this idea from. I'm guessing Family Fun magazine but I can't be sure. Anyway, E has become quite the rock collector. We have rocks all over our house -- some here, a pile there. So, I came up with (or just remembered, really) this idea when he was collecting more rocks on the coast in Scotland over the holidays.
I bought
the jars at IKEA and then made little tags to tie around the neck of each one. This way we know where the rocks came from and he can also take them out to look at them if he wants. So, from here on out, we'll just take a jar to the next coastal town -- I figure it will limit the amount of the rocks and the ginormous ones won't fit. :)
