Some random bits...

...from the past week or so.

I made Shepherd's pie for the 1st time...finally getting into some British cuisine. :) It was delicious...and the boys loved it. Thanks for the recipe Whitney!

One morning Elam helped Sy start on this preschool workbook that he got for Christmas. I had to tell them to put it away just so Silas could eat breakfast. After he got home from school Sy wanted to work on it...all afternoon...until he finished. He completed the 50 page book in 1 day! When I told him that I was so amazed, he looked at me and said, 'You're proud too, right mom?' :)

Elam is taking swimming through his school. Each Monday they take the class to the County pool and have lessons. This Dallas kiddo is SO glad to be back in the water. He said he's forgotten a lot since all those lessons back in Texas, but I think it will come back to him quickly.

For all of you that love our pics of the pro sleeper in the house, here's another. He barely finished his dinner and then just curled up in his chair. He's growing so much that I don't think this position will last for long.

My, how prolific in your posting. But what joy to see the updates. I especially like that Silas is into the learning thing (big surprise) and Elam is back in the water.

The Shepherds pie...what were you thinking? There are peas in there!!!

Love to all,
Dad

Was your Shepherds pie made with Lamb or Beef?

Well, I always have at least 1 blog past rattling around in my head. It's just taking the time to sit down and put it out there.

And the shepherd's pie was made with beef...and peas, dad!

Ah, well done. On the shepherd's pie. I've made it once. Yours looks better.

And seriously, that kid CAN sleep anywhere, how did you teach him to do that? :)
