"Lovely" People
We are so excited to be acquainted with some great people here. We have met a couple from New Zealand that have 2 years under their belt here -- Matthew and Trish. They have 3 kids (the 2 boys are right in between our boys in age). We talked with them the first week we arrived and they were loads of help on basics like transportation, healthcare, schools, churches, etc. Middle of last week, we had coffee with Matthew and Dean. Dean, a Canadian, has been here for 1 year with his wife and 3 older kiddos. Last Thursday we met John Barclay, Ben's supervisor for the next 3 years. He treated us to lunch and then invited us for lunch at his house this weekend. We have just returned from a wonderful lunch and visit this afternoon. He has 3 highschool/college aged children. They are a very lovely family. We were told that knowing John (and his family) is one of the biggest benefits of being in Durham -- we quite agree. God has definitely blessed us with great people to learn from and be around for our time here in England.
