No Blue Boxes Here

We thought adjusting to the groceries here would be fine when we found Tesco. Our biggest concern (from Elam’s perspective) was to find normal peanut butter. We succeeded there…found Sunpat pb very early and are actually on our 2nd jar (mostly because they don’t sell gigantic jars). The disappointment lies in the fact that we can’t find Kraft Mac n’ Cheese (or any boxed mac n’ cheese for that matter). I made a homemade version for lunch the other day and have heard over and over (from E…the rest of us liked it) that it is not “real” mac n’ cheese. So unless we run across an international food store that sells American stuff…no blue boxes here.

You say the word, and we'll send some your way. :)

I have a feeling that Elam will be getting a lot of packages from the States of "real" mac and cheese!

Heather I am so with you- no Kraft here either, except an occasional box on an import aisle. But I'm surprised about the pb- we get Skippy all the way over here in the middle of nowhere in China... crazy! :) Hope you find other comfort foods- we've found that having familiar foods can make a WORLD of difference getting adjusted to life abroad! Best wishes toward that end!
