- Tex-Mex
- our HomeTeam
- being a real SAHM -- not an unemployed woman that happens to stay at home until she finds a "real" paying job
- Sunday lunch with the Yarbroughs at Chipotle
- playdates with Sally, Katie, and Brooke at ChickFilA
- being closer to family and friends
- phones that work all the time
- my MOPS group
- smoked sausage and breakfast sausage -- the sausage here is definitely different
- a separate clothes dryer!
Things I don't miss:
- all the driving
- the HOT weather -- though I've heard that Dallas has been very nice recently
- E's school being 15 mins. away (by car)
- everyone being so busy -- there is definitely a slower pace to life here
I do have to finish out this post by saying that, all in all, life here is pretty grand. Not many complaints! We have settled in well and are ready for this new adventure.

This is so good ... I remember when we moved to nola from Dallas, we made a list of "what we'll miss" and "what we're looking forward to". Believe it or not, the numbers of items on each were about the same. I do think that helped us transition here. And, I still feel like we're transitioning sometimes, Katrina or not. I'm glad you're living grand in spite of the major changes in your life right now! :)
While we're so happy that you are adjusting . . . please don't get too comfy!! Although it took us almost 6 years to see eachother again, i'd like to to be shorter this next time.
