No wonder
I just went to check out the weather for the week on BBCweather.com. We are actually in for a mild week -- around 10 C/ 50 F -- but I noticed that the sun will not be rising until 8a and will be setting around 3.45p. And it's not even December yet!!! I got curious about where we are exactly on the map -- which latitude. It seems we are around 55 N which turns out to be somewhere between the US/Canadian border and Alaska in North America. That helped me put it into perspective a little bit. It will be interesting to see what it's like in June when the sun stays around so much longer here. When I have my depressing "where is the sun?" days (we hear those happen a lot in January), I'll have to keep that in mind. :)

I'll have to tell Caleb that you guys have less daylight than we do. He railed and raved against daylight savings time a few weeks ago when it was dark just after we got home at 5:15 and he couldn't ride his bike.
