Our Potluck

We celebrated Thanksgiving today with several Americans and one Scandinavian couple...it was a good day. Potlucks are awesome (especially at Thanksgiving) because everyone contributes some of their best and favorite dishes. All the food was soooo good. My grandmother's Cranberry Fluff, my sis-in-law's Broccoli Casserole, and the Yeast Rolls that my mom and I used to make every Thanksgiving were my contributions. They were fab! E and I also made a turkey shaped veggie tray -- we got the idea from Family Fun. We were really happy with how it turned out and E got several compliments. I think we may have a new Thanksgiving tradition now. :)
Ben was a bit disappointed when he sat down to watch some sports after everyone left....he only found handball and cross country skiing. He finally ran across some American football highlights when I was on my way upstairs to blog though.

Hey, Elam! Nice job on that turkey veggie tray -- you are as creative as your mom! I saw a Christmas tree veggie tray idea in the December Family Fun magazine -- I can hardly wait to see if you try that one, too! love you! grammy

Oh, and we had our annual Thanksgiving breakfast meeting with the Greenbaums this morning since they're in town to visit family. Good to see them - S is finally finished school and loves her job. :)

Love - Aunt Karyn

P.S. Heather, we had Cranberry Fluff too. The meal wouldn't be complete without it! Glad Ben's home. Sounds like you all had a great day. Did Annie show up for Thanksgiving dinner?
