Sorry for the late post re: last weekend. I've been having some problems posting pics on Blogger. Hopefully I have fixed the problem...and now I'll get to some posts that have been rolling around in my brain.
Last Saturday we had some fun with rocks. Silas had received a rock painting kit for his birthday. We each painted a rock -- there were some transfers in the kit...we're not just that good. I did a fish, Sy did an eel, and Elam did a crab sitting on a rock.
Elam bought a clay looking rock from a gem and mineral stand a few weeks ago and the lady told him to wash it up...he did that and it is a nice crystal. He had fun "discovering" the crystal. He is debating whether he should be a gemologist or chemist when he grows up so he loves this kind of stuff.

Cute title, Beezy! Glad for the explantions, too -- with that look on E's face, I wasn't sure if he was holding up a rock or something else!
