Elam is VERY interested in science. So even though he really enjoyed all the Superhero stuff for Christmas, at the top of his list was a metal detector. One was ordered through Amazon.co.uk but it was delayed for several weeks. The anticipation is almost too much for him. His favorite thing that he has actually received is a Crystal Growing Kit that Santa had for him in his stocking.
He had been saving his money for the metal detector in case he didn't get it for Christmas. Since he is getting it, he found a microscope/telescope kit at Tesco the other day that he HAD to have -- it was only 6 GBP. Because it was so cheap, it hasn't yielded great results but enough to have him excited about it.
