10 Things I've Learned from the Past 7 Days

  1. Have your carpets cleaned every 6 months (or more if you have children) -- if you are in Dallas, check out Havehouse.com (2 rooms done for $35)
  2. Use a Swiffer dry mop to dust your walls -- try it...it is amazing how much dust is on there
  3. You can use the wallpaper steamer to take that nasty soap scum residue off glass shower doors...and clean off slate tile floors...and steam grease off cabinets
  4. Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser is a WONDERFUL invention
  5. If you want to get a lot accomplished, send your kids (and husband) to Grandma and Grandpa's house
  6. Do projects while you live in your house...not when you are about to move out
  7. Eye make-up brushes work well for small paint touch-ups
  8. Don't turn on the oven...take-out works wonders! (especially if it is located near HomeDepot and Target)
  9. If you hit a wall (figuratively), a cup of Bluebell Moolennium Crunch will get you going again :)
  10. Most importantly...the next time you want to strip wallpaper or paint cabinets, pay someone else to do it!!!

***Pictures of the progress we have made will be posted later...when we have revived ourselves. :)
