If today is any indication, our problem re: Silas' favorite animal (see
Max entry below) may be solved. We took a trip to Super Walmart today to do our regular grocery shopping and stopped by the stuffed animals to look for Max's "brother". We found a purple dog that feels a lot like Max and has a great tail. Silas liked to rub Max's tail on his nose for comfort.
So...here is Jack. Silas showed Jack to everyone we passed in Walmart and has carried him around all day. We'll see if this takes hold. Unfortunately Jack is not quite as cute as Max but I am hoping the purple color will help us spot him easily if he is misplaced.

I love this! As much as we tried, Sam has not taken to any of his stuffed toys, blanket or anything. The only thing that seems to give him comfort is him rubbing his belly button, believe it or not. We're hoping Jack becomes a "safe place" for Silas in the coming months of craziness.
