downtown Fort Worth at Sundance Square. It turns out this year it was the MS160 instead of the MS150, as we did about 80 miles each day (vs. the old route to OK which had a 90/60 split). Compared to the prior two years, the weather was great both days--not too hot or cold or too windy. We had forecasts of thunderstorms but they waited until we were off the route to shower us.My preparation was a little less than I had hoped due to the kidney stone incident a few weeks back but with the good weather I made out well. This was my first year to ride in a group since I was able to keep up with the other people from my office. We were surprised to climb to what seemed the highest point in N. Texas in about a 3 to 4 mile stretch (about 15 miles north of Fort Worth). Other than those monstrous hills everything else was a typical ride with flat spots mixed in among the rolling hills.

My rump is definitely sore along with my lower back, but not any other unexpected aches and pains. I can tell that my "bad" knee has gotten stronger from all this riding because it never bothered me once this year.
So nothing but good things. Oh yeah, on the start of the 2nd day we got to do a loop on the TMS race track, which was pretty cool. Thanks to all who donated!
