And there was still humor...

Even though we had a tough week with getting everything together, we still had some great laughs. Here are a few:

• Elam has "drop y and add -ies to make it plural" spelling words this week. On Wednesdays he has to write sentences for each spelling word. Here are the 2 that cracked us up: 1. "Candy is ouno." 2. "Candies is dos." (Think Spanish if you don't catch it at first.)
• I was cleaning out our front closet and set this storage tower in the middle of the living room. When I looked up a few minutes later, Silas had crawled up in one and was watching his movie.
• Last night E had to take a shower. Ben and I were busy with a project in the other bathroom when Elam came to find me to ask him to start his shower -- he was already completely bare. When I told him to wait for just a minute he replied, "Hurry Mom, I'm already shower material".
• Elam and Silas were playing chase in the house. One time through the living room Elam was the one doing the chasing and yelled to Silas, "Come back and fight like a man!" The next time through Silas was chasing Elam and yelled the same thing.
• Elam had to take his violin to school the other day to practice for a recital. Ben had lectured him on the way to school about being really careful with it and not letting his friends "play" it. That afternoon in his regular violin lesson he told me that he had let 2 friends touch the "wood part" of his violin for a quarter a piece. :)
